The Right to Risks

We made a performative work for the Right to Risks symposium at Utopisch Nest Leiden. We organized an elaborate screening for all visitors in order to start the day without risks.

Before the screening, all visitors were sent a letter listing a number of preconditions, and they were told to bring various documents, such as a pay slip.

More information about the symposium that took place on 7 November 2013 can be found on the blog of the Veenfabriek.

At the symposium itself, visitors were grouped according to their risk level based on the screening of their documents, phone or handbag. After the screening they were safe to enter the Right to Risks symposium. The groups the visitors were placed in also determined which activities they would take part in later in the afternoon.
